While a number of the IUCN/SSC Chameleon Specialist Group's members do work with chameleons in captivity, as a group our focus is primarily on the conservation and sustainable use of chameleons and issues that relate to them in the wild. As a result, for help with captive chameleon needs we recommend seeking out an appropriate outlet that focuses on these issues. If you are concerned about your pet chameleon's health, for instance, a list of qualified reptile vets can be found on the Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians (ARAV) website, while captive husbandry-related questions can be directed to various online communities such as the Chameleon Forums or The Chameleon Enthusiasts pages.
Any requests or inquiries related to chameleon conservation, sustainable use and trade in chameleons, management issues with chameleons, the biology of chameleons, or other topics of relevance to the IUCN/SSC Chameleon Specialist Group can be sent to us either via email or our Facebook page:
